Carl L. Gasiorowski

Carl L. Gasiorowski, 82, of Rockford passed away peacefully on Monday, January 1, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Born, April 16, 1935, in Chicago, IL, the proud son of Stanley and Helen (Peleschak) Gasiorowski. He thoroughly enjoyed the time he spent growing up on a farm in Wisconsin. Carl faithfully served in our United States Army from 1958-1960. He returned home to marry the love of his life Donna Madden. During their 56 years of marriage they were blessed with 3 children whom he loved very dearly. He was a hard worker in the fasteners business both in Rockford and in Chicago where he became a devout Bears fan.
Carl’s hobbies included, working in his yard while spending time with his long-time friends, Les and Jon, learning about the life of Christ, reading up on the History of our nation, and staying up to date on the weather predictions, but he was happiest when spending time with his wife, his children, and their families.
He will be truly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; children, Madonna (Don), Keith (Mae), and Jennifer (Frank); grandchildren, Katie, Kyle, Dain, Kirsten, Cameron, Hannah, Liv, and Madden, great-grandchildren, Genevieve and Caroline; and several other loving family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents, sister, Sally; 1 niece, 1 cousin, several aunts, uncles, and dear friends.
Memorial mass will be 11 A.M. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4407 Highcrest Rd. Rockford, IL, 61107. Memorial visitation 9 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Family has stressed, in lieu of flowers donations be made to the VFW or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
