Brittany Leigh Shaw-James, 21, Rockford, died at 11:55 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2010 in Viroqua, WI, as the result of an automobile accident. Born October 3, 1988 in Austin, TX, daughter of Julie A. Shaw and Andrew E. James. An amazing young woman, Brittanys zest for life was unparalleled. Her smile could light up a room and her laughter, snickers and giggles would warm even the coldest of hearts. Her beautiful brown eyes were the very mirrors of her spirited soul. On the wings of a dove, may she fly with the angels to the heavens. In Gods hands, may she be blanketed in love for ever and always. Survivors include her mother, Julie A. Shaw-James and her father, Andrew E. James; maternal grandmother, Sandra Shaw; maternal grandfather, Thomas (Verda) Anderson; paternal grandmother, Patricia (David) Churm; maternal great-grandmother, Edna Wilcox; aunts and uncles, Teri (Theodore) Klint, Christopher (Karen) James, Lesley (Sal) Holman, Sheryl (Larry) Warren and great- aunt and uncle, Robert (Regina) Shaw. Also survived by her cousins, Michael Anderson, Jennifer Adcock, Kristina (Carlos) James- Cardenas, Tyler James, Jessica and Megan and numerous other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her grandfathers, Robert J. Shaw and Edward James and great-grandfather, Wayne Wilcox. A visitation for Brittany will be held from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. A burial will take place at 2:30 p.m. in Highland Garden of Memories, Belvidere where her father and cousins will be her pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
