Brian Daniel Barbuto

Brian Daniel Barbuto, 40, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 16, 2020. He was born on November 23, 1979 in Syracuse, New York. Brian was spontaneous, the life of the party and always looking for the next adventure kind of a guy. His passion was bowling (Don Carter Lanes) with multiple 300 games and an array of 800 series. He also enjoyed fishing, soccer and watching his favorite football team, the Miami Dolphins. However, there was nothing in this world that Brian loved more than his daughter, Isabella Marie Barbuto and his stepson Andrew James Woody. They were his greatest blessings.
Brian was employed as an apartment maintenance supervisor for Sierra Management.
Left to cherish his memory, is his nine year-old daughter, Isabella Marie, his mother and stepfather James and Loredana (Ascenzo) Stone, of Leesburg, Florida, his father and stepmother: John and Heidi Barbuto, of Syracuse, New York; his siblings Claudia and (Robert) Macko of Rockford Illinois; John A. Barbuto of Cabot, Arkansas; maternal grandmother, Maria Ascenzo of Syracuse, New York, and his nieces Tierra, Madison, Arianna, and Lola; his nephew, Evan all whom he adored greatly, along with other family and numerous friends.
Brian is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donato Ascenzo; his paternal grandparents, Teresa and Ambrogio Barbuto as well as his step-grandparents, Arlene and Arthur Stone.
As an avid bowler, we take comfort in knowing that he is up in heaven organizing a King of the Hill tournament with his grandfathers, Donato and Arthur and prepping eternity for all of us down here.
Brian’s family will have a private service on Saturday, November 21, 2020. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate contributions for Isabella Marie Barbuto’s college fund:
