Brent G. Thompson

Brent Gordon Thompson, 60, of Rockford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 15, 2017. He was a loving companion, father, and grandfather, and we will miss him dearly. Brent was born on June 19, 1957 to John and Eleanor (Wachlin) Thompson in Rockford. He worked for UTC Aerospace Systems for 39 years, often being recognized for his contributions to the Aerospace Technology field. Brent was a gearhead who loved motorcycles, snowmobiles, and anything with a motor. He also enjoyed gambling, fishing, the outdoors, and having a good time.
Brent left us too soon, but his life and influence will always be remembered by those who knew him best.

He is survived by his longtime partner, Julie Christian; his children, Nicole (Donnie) Fane, Amber Thompson, Brenton Thompson, Michelle (Brent) Wrasse, and Joe Wrasse; sisters, Cathy (Ken) Baxter, Sheri Henry; grandchildren, Tationa, Noah, Eleanor, Donovan, Camden, and Paxton. Brent is predeceased by his parents.
