BRENDA K. BYERS, 59 ROCKFORD - Brenda K. Byers, 59, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014, in her home. Born July 6, 1954, in Rockford; the daughter of Sterling and Norma (Soderberg) Moore. Graduated Guilford High School. She worked for Ipsen Industries for 37 years. Married Greg Byers in Rockford on November 20, 1977. Brenda loved her family more than anything, including her pets, Toby and Shadow. Brenda enjoyed doing things for others, flower gardening, quilting, painting and many crafts. She loved to travel and enjoyed camping with her camping club. The family would to like express their gratitude for the many prayers and well wishes from family and friends. Survivors include parents, Sterling and Norma Moore; husband, Greg Byers; son, Chris (Michelle) Anderson; daughter, Carey (Jeff) Bown; grandchildren, Alyson and Austin Anderson, and Brooke Bown; sisters-in-law, Jeanne (Bob) Pickering and Linda (Ron) Kleinhaus; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews; special friends, Deb and Chuck Voorhies, Jim and Rose Keller, Don and Lynn Nord, Carol Crawford, Polly (Greg) Freund. Predeceased by sister, Kathy Combs and special aunt, Delores Bergstrom. Service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Young officiating. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, and 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday.
