Bradley J. Greenwaldt, 47, Rockford, lost his courageous battle with cancer at 7:07 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2008 in Swedish American Hospital. Born December 19, 1960 in Rockford, son of Benjamin F. and Joyce E. Johnson Greenwaldt. Graduated from Guilford High School. Employed in purchasing for Rockford Ball Screw for over 21 years. He was a member of Spring Creek United Church of Christ. Brad was a big personality who was fun loving, adventurous and loved to joke. He enjoyed nice cars and tropical vacations. He appreciated the wonders of nature, loved his home and was a true helper to humanity. Brad was loved and cherished by his many friends and family and always supported by them. Survivors include his parents, Benjamin and Joyce; brother, Brian (Cindy) Greenwaldt; sisters, Sandy Johnson (Steve Hollenbeck), Sarah (Mitch) Proctor and Julie (Dustin) Eklund all of Rockford; niece, Crystal Powell; nephews, Corey Greenwaldt, Jake Powell, Austin and Aydin Eklund and Matt and Ryan Cox. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2008 in Spring Creek United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. Michael Simmons officiating. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. and from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established in Brads memory.
