Braden Gene Anderson, 74, lifelong Rockford resident, died at 11:55 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009 in Rockford Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born August 10, 1934, son of Freeman and Margaret Scharf Anderson. Married Maureen Driscoll in Rockford on August 26, 1961. Graduated from West High School in 1952 and was also a graduate of Rockford College. Veteran of the U.S. Army and member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Brad was a CPA and retired in 1999 as vice president of Cellusuede Products where he was employed for 24 years. Survivors include his wife, Maureen; daughters, Cindy Anderson, Portland, OR, Shelly (Mike) Greenlee and their daughters, Megan, Brittyn and Jayden, Kathy (Tim) Naill and their sons, Braden and Cole; Bridget (Mike) Lane and their sons, Wyatt and Fletcher. Also survived by his brother, Clayton (Barbara) Anderson; several nieces and nephews and his brother-in-law, Phil Driscoll. Predeceased by his parents, Freeman and Margaret Anderson. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009 in Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Frank Moyer and Rev. Gary Heedum officiating. Visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service at the church on Thursday. Private family burial in Willwood Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brain Injury Association of America, 1608 Spring Hill Rd., Ste. 110, Vienna, VA. 22182 or Trinity Lutheran Church, 200 N.
