Bonniely R Rohlin

Bonniely Ruth Rohlin, 73, of Rockford, passed away December 10, 2016 at River Bluff. Born November 3, 1943 in Rockford, the daughter of Walter H. and Myrtle R. (Anderson) Rohlin. Bonnie attended Buckbee Grade School and was a 1961 graduate of East High School. Her family farm on Harrison Ave. was purchased in 1964 so that the main U.S. Post Office could be built.
Formerly an employee of Crimson Pointe and Pioneer Life Insurance Co.. In her working days she was a member of American Business Women’s Association (ABWA). Bonnie was well liked and received many employee awards wherever she worked. She was a dedicated volunteer at her church, Boone County Fair and Crimson Pointe activities. She enjoyed doing crafts and received many awards for her handiwork. She also enjoyed reading and loved her kitty cats, Mickey and Minnie.
She was a member of Alpine Lutheran Church serving on many committees and attending Bible Studies. Bonnie was a 57 year member of Perryville Grange #1805, Winnebago County Pomona Grange, Illinois State Grange and National Grange. She served as past State Grange Women’s Activities Chairman in 1998.
Predeceased by her parents. Special thank you to River Bluff, Alpine Fireside and OSF Hospice for their wonderful care.
Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Alpine Lutheran Church, 5001 Forest View Ave, Rockford, IL , Pastor Dan Wynard officiating. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will be held in Arlington Memorial Park, 6202 Charles St., Rockford, IL.
