Bobbie J. Showers

Bobbie J. Showers, 62, was called Home on Monday, September 5, 2022. Bobbie was born on September 26, 1959, in Rockford, Illinois, to Thomas Justice III and Carolyn Justice. Bobbie worked at River Bluff Nursing Home for 30 years, and for Kmart for 7 years. in June of 1989 she married the love of her life, Fredrick Showers. She was the kind of wife and mother that is only found in the rarest of times, and she enjoyed her home life. In her free time that she spent at home she enjoyed working on word puzzles, often with different tv shows playing in the background, or simply enjoying a large variety of music.

She will be missed by those who loved her most, her husband of 33 years, Fredrick Sr.; her children Fredrick Jr. and Beverly Herr; her granddaughter Serenity. She is predeceased by her daughter Carrie Burger and both of her parents.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be established at a later date.
