Billy D. Farr

Billy Dale Farr, 66, passed away on February 20, 2021 in Rockford, IL.
Bill was born on March 18, 1954 in Rockford, IL. He was the son of Dale and Bertha (Neubauer) Farr.
Bill graduated from Auburn High School in 1972. He worked at Dean Foods for many years and recently retired from his own business; Bill’s Paint and Collision. He was an active member of the NRA, an avid drag racing fan, and he loved the outdoors; particularly bird watching. Bill also enjoyed cooking, hunting and fishing. He was a phenomenal painter and truly enjoyed working on cars. His greatest joy was spending time with his son, Jeff and his three grandchildren; Gavin, Dessa, and Dayton. Or, as he had nicknamed them, ‘The Farr Kids Race Team’. They were certainly his proudest accomplishment. Bill’s phone was always ringing as he sustained many friendships and was a social butterfly. He had an uncanny ability to find happiness in his daily activities.
Billy is survived by his mother, Bertha; brother, Ron (Angie) Farr; sister, Barbara (Steve) Kadamian; son, Jeffrey (Megan) Farr; and grandchildren, Gavin, Dessa, and Dayton Farr; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loyal dog, Petey, his community of friends, loving neighbors, and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his father Dale and his brothers; Jimmy and Kevin Farr.
