Beverly R. Wendorf

Beverly R. Wendorf, 77, of Rockford passed away Sunday, August 20, 2018 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born January 3, 1941, in Pana, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Laura (Garrett) Young. Bev married Robert Wendorf on August 26, 1961 in Monroe Center. Bev loved music, singing and playing the piano. She enjoyed playing bridge and card club dates. Bob and Bev liked to travel and visit their cabin in Lake Sherwood. Bev was ordained as an Elder at Community of Christ Church in 2011. Bev was a devoted grandmother to her 3 grandchildren.

Survived by her children, Bryan Wendorf and Beckie Wendorf; grandchildren, Robert (Nicole Krabbenhoft) Wendorf, Jeffry Williams and Brandon Williams; great-granddaughter, Hailey; siblings, Henry (Sylvia) Young and Sharon Stroeh; brother-in-law, George Lutz and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, husband, Robert in 2017, siblings, Muriel, Everil, Debbie, Randall and Kendall.

Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Community of Christ Church, 6103 Forest Hills Road. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
