A local golfer has played her last round of golf, but not before achieving two hole-in-ones and two eagles.nbsp; Beverly Jean Bev Anderson, 80, of Roscoe, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, in her home and surrounded by family.nbsp; She was born March 16, 1930, in Rockford, the daughter of Willard and Pauline (Rose) Erickson.nbsp; Bev married her high school sweetheart, Ronald L. Anderson, Sr., in Rockford on December 15, 1950.nbsp;
Bev always had a hug for anyone who entered her home and an undying love for her husband, children and grandchildren.nbsp; She was smart, witty, a great athlete, a fabulous cook, barbershop singer and she loved a good crossword puzzle.nbsp; She could have done many things with her life, but she chose to dedicate herself to her family.nbsp; She taught us to live life to the fullest, be happy, hug often, make sure you have no regrets, and treat everyone you meet with compassion and respect.nbsp; We will miss her sense of humor and her absolutely delicious peanut butter cookies.nbsp; We know we have a special angel in heaven now watching over us.
Survived by her husband of 60 years, Ron; sons, Ronald L. Anderson, Jr. of Darien, WI, and Randy Anderson of Tucson, AZ; daughters, Lori (Mike) Bryant of Tucson, AZ and Lynn (Jay) Olexy of Westminster, MD; grandchildren, Chase and Tanner Bryant and Hannah and Madelynn Olexy; sisters, Barbara Simmonds of Rockford and Betty Martenson of Loves Park; many nieces, nephews, and special friends.nbsp; Predeceased by her parents, sister, Phyllis Riggs and brother, Gene Erickson. Special thanks to Hospice Care of America, especially Jeanene Jenni and Barb, for their care and compassion during Bevs illness.
