Beverly D Gray

Beverly Dayne (Kling) Gray, 84, of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015. Born August 15, 1931 in Rockford; daughter of Lloyd Hugo and Renata Ilene (Schumann) Kling. Beverly's parents Hugo & Renata founded Broadway Florist in 1929 which they later sold. Beverly married Charles E. Gray on June 30, 1951 at Ottawa, IL. Graduated from Rockford East High School, class of 1950. Bev loved cooking for her family and enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and creating hand crafted gifts for her family and friends.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 64 1/2 years, Charles E. Gray; sons, Greg (Kris) Gray of Rockford, IL, Mike (Sandy) Gray of Brodhead, WI, Randall (Donna) Gray of Tarpon Springs, FL and Kevin (Judith) Gray of Waxhaw, NC; grandchildren, Sheryl Gray, Melissa Thomas, Adam Gray, Eric Gray, Aaron Gray, Matthew Gray, Lisa Gray, Heidi Sullivan, Ellice Hunt and Denise Dutcher; eight great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way; brother, Lloyd Hugo Kling Jr.; sister-in-law, Jane Kling; nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents and daughter, Kristy Lynn Gray-Kurtz.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford with a visitation from 12:00pm (noon) until time of service. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established.
