Beverly C. Johannes

Beverly C. Johannes, 88, of Rockford, IL passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022.

She was born in Rockford, IL on August 12, 1933, daughter of Raymond and Mildred (LaVan) Lundstrom. Beverly married Norman W. Johannes on August 6, 1960 in Winnebago. She was a longtime member of Christ United Methodist Church of Rockford. Beverly enjoyed doing needle point, gardening and baking in her spare time. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family. Beverly will be dearly missed.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Lynn (Steve) Rigdon and Scott (Laura) Johannes; grandchildren, Abby (Abe) Millar, Amy, Allison and Andrea Rigdon, Adam and Chad Johannes; great-grandchildren, Esther, William, Benjamin, Hannah, Naomi and Sawyer; brother, Russ (Donna) Lundstrom; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Beverly is predeceased by her parents and her husband, Norman.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Private graveside service will conclude in Scandinavian Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Beverly’s name to Christ United Methodist Church.
