Beverly A. Ewald

Beverly Ewald, 83, of Rockford, Passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020.

Beverly was born in Chicago on December 28, 1936. She was raised in Rockford, and lived here her entire life. Beverly was a graduate of East High School and also took a number of art classes at Rockford College and Rock Valley College.
Beverly met the love of her life, Gary in elementary school. They married on October 24, 1954 at Temple Baptist Church in Rockford.
Beverly was an avid artist all of her life. She was active in many art organizations and loved sharing her talent with her family. She is most remembered for the watercolor portraits she did of her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Beverly was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was a great friend and support to many. She will be dearly missed.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Lori (Wayne) Dehn, Dawn (Keith)
Pennington, and Karen (Steve) Brown; her Grandchildren, Tyler Dehn, Joshua (Lynette) Scott, Allison (Matt) Janowski, Katelyn (Joshua) DeJong, Milena Brown and Andrew Brown. She was a devoted Great Grandmother to Oliver, Evelyn, Oscar, Elenora, Jane and Josephine.
She is predeceased by her loving husband Gary who passed away on July 29, 2020. She was also predeceased by her parents and two sisters.
A drive through visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 am on Saturday, December 12th. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 following the visitation. The visitation and service will be held at Northeast Christian Church, 5651 East Riverside Blvd, Rockford, IL 61114. Anyone wishing to attend the service at the church is asked to contact Dawn at 815-988-3229.
Beverly’s final resting place will be next to her loving husband in Lawnridge Cemetery, Rochelle, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Salvation Army and Rockford Rescue Mission.
