Betty M. Behrens

Loving Mother, Grandmother and GreatgrandmotherBetty Behrens, 84, Cherry Valley, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at P.A. Peterson Center for Health. Born February 3, 1927 in Park Falls, WI; the daughter of William and Katherine (Hauptman) Wardensky. Betty came to Rockford in 1952, the same year she married the late Harry G Behrens. She loved her family and loved living in the Village of Cherry Valley. Betty was an avid collector of antiques and a member of St. Rita Catholic Church.Survived by daughter, Kathleen Behrens; sister, Lila Slack; sisterinlaw, Mildred Behrens; brother "inlaw, Henry Hendricksen; granddaughters, Jennifer (Matthew) Gibbons and Julie (Isaac) Roos; greatgrandchildren, Erik Gibbons, Benjamin Gibbons, Wyatt Roos and Lincoln Roos; numerous nieces and nephews; Predeceased by parents; husband, Harry; infant daughter, Harriann.Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at St. Rita Catholic Church. Visitation from 9:30 until the time of service on Wednesday at church. Luncheon will immediately follow. Private burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
