Loving mother, grandmother, and loyal friend

Betty Louise Bradshaw, 91, of Rockford passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 at Wesley Willows Health Center. Born on July 6, 1923 in Salem, Oregon, the daughter of Leo and Elma (Sutter) Childs. Betty earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Oregon in 1945 and forever remained a proud Oregon Duck. In 1950 Betty married Frederick Gale Bradshaw and settled in Portland, Oregon, where they raised their two daughters, Leslie and Molly. In 2010, Betty moved to Rockford to be near her daughter and family.
Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Molly and Paul Klazura of Rockford; grandchildren, Megan (Ryan) Dehner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Greg Klazura of Chicago and Brian Klazura of Del Rio, Texas and great-granddaughter Madeline Dehner. Predeceased by her husband, Frederick Gale Bradshaw and daughter, Leslie Gale Bradshaw.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday November 15, 2014 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 North Rockton Avenue. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church Good Samaritan Fund.
