Betty J. Reynolds (nee Guymon), 79, of Machesney Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2016 in Hayward, Wisconsin.
Betty was born in Salem, Illinois to Merle and Iola Guymon on August 16, 1936. She attended local schools in Salem, Illinois, graduating from Salem High School in 1951. She married the love of her life, John Reynolds on July 8, 1991 in Chester County, Tennessee. Betty worked in quality control for National Lock Company from 1958 until April, 1983. Betty enjoyed fishing, boating, having her hair and nails done, spending time at Lake Wisconsin with her husband, John, and watching Discovery ID and shopping on QVC.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, John Reynolds, son Tony Palmer, grandsons Cody and Joseph, sisters Mary, Doris and June, brothers-in-law Arthur Reynolds and Jim Stroup.
Betty is survived by her sons Daniel (Jennifer) Palmer, Hayward, Wisconsin, David (Barbara) Reynolds, North Carolina, Michael Reynolds, LaMarque, Texas and Gregory (Kathleen) Reynolds, Waller, Texas; daughters Deborah Jolliffe, LaMarque, Texas, Diane (Don) Knight, Orange Park, Florida and Tammy Palmer (Jerry), Rockford, Illinois; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brother Merle Guymon, and sisters-in-law Pat Stroup and Clara (Cliff) McLain; many nieces and nephews and cousins.
The family of Betty wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Aspen Acres, Hayward, Wisconsin, and all of the residents of Wunder Er'de Campground for their love and support.
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave with visitation from 9 a.m .until time of prayer at 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Fitzgerald Funeral Home.
