Betty Castle

Betty D. Castle 67 of Rockford passed away Tuesday January 6, 2015 in Swedish American Hospital. She was born July 23, 1947 in South Pittsburgh, TN, the daughter of Bert "Pod" and Nadine Barnes. She started her career as a cosmetologist then later, working at Chrysler for 30 years, retiring in 2009. Member of the Eagles Club and the American Legion Club.
Survivors include her three children, Clyde “Pete” Castle of New Milford, Melinda “Missy” Castle of Rockford and Charles (Andrea) Moore of Rockford. Grandchildren, Kimberly, Crystal, Derek, Morgan, Jenna, Chelsea, Brittany, Greg, Dakota, Michael, Dale, Robert, Cody, Zachary and James. 23 great grandchildren. Brothers, Owen “Rooter” Barnes and Joe “Smooth” Barnes. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents, daughter, April Castle-Wallin. Grandson, Travis Castle. Two brothers, Robert and Jim Barnes.
Funeral service at 4pm Sunday January 11, 2015 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 1860 S. Mulford. Visitation from 1pm until 3:45 Sunday in the Funeral Home.
