Bette J. Pernot

Bette Jeanne (Greenberg) Pernot, 95, passed away on June 30, 2023. Born in Rockford on February 11, 1928, Bette was the daughter of Elmer and Teckla (Scott) Greenberg and the younger sibling of Donald (Pauline) and Charles (Betty) Greenberg.

Bette was predeceased by her husband, Gerald A. Pernot, 1925-2009. Surviving relatives include son and daughter, Greg (Joanne) Pernot and Renee (Neil) Hoxie, grandchildren, Elizabeth Janowski, Nicole Pernot, Sara Hoxie and Emily Hoxie, great-grandchildren, Lily Janowski, Mabel and Desmond Boylen, and Theodore and Calvin Scidmore, and nieces and nephew, Thomas Greenberg, Nancy Benson and Paula Harkness.

Before her retirement, Bette was a long-time employee of Amerock Corporation. She was very devoted to her family and will be greatly missed.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the family to be shared with Bette’s caregiver and her foundation in Nigeria.
