Beryl J. Sandwick

Beryl Jean "BJ" Sandwick, 72, of Aurora, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. She was born on June 28, 1945, in Rockford; to parents Roy and Junella (Otterdale) Sandwick. Beryl was a 1963 graduate of East High School. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Rockford and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Naperville serving on their usher groups. Beryl worked at AT&T up until her retirement. She then worked part time as a travel agent, fulfilling her passion to travel. Beryl loved to visit Hawaii, Cancun and Florida, especially Disney World. Beryl was an independent woman and very loyal to her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother to her two West Highland Terriers, Annie and Max, as well as a loving sister, aunt and friend. The family would like to thank Cathy LePage for her excellent care and companionship.

Beryl is survived by her sister, Sandra Henbest; nieces, Mindy, Suzzy, Betsy, Kim, Kelli and Shelli; and nephews, Micah and Seth. She is predeceased by her parents; sister, Janet Sharkey.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. On Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Fitzgerald Funeral home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108.
