Bernice M. Kuehl, 87, passed away in Rockford, Illinois on January 31, 2023. Born in Ossineke, Michigan on August 31, 1935 daughter to Joseph and May (Byers) Labell. A 1954 graduate of Alpena High, Bernice enjoyed spending time with her siblings on their bowling and softball teams. She went on to marry Donald Kuehl July 21, 1956 in Ossineke, Michigan. Not long after being married they moved to Rockford, Illinois to start their next chapter together. She enjoyed being active and while in Rockford joined a bowling league, the axillary board for the American Legion, became a girl scouts’ leader, volunteered her time at the Moose Club, and sold Avon products for many years. Later in life she looked forward to the card club she had with the ladies in the neighborhood and supporting her grandchildren at all of their sporting events.
