Benny J. Nuccio

Benny J. Nuccio, 82, of Rockford, passed away August 18, 2019 at Rosewood Care Center. Born August 8, 1937, in Rockford, the son of Charlie & Ida (LaMarca) Nuccio. Married Nancy Ferraro in Rockford on November 30, 1963. Benny worked in food sales for many years.
Benny started out coaching his son with little league baseball, which later led him to coaching for his grandson, Nick and attending all sporting events that involved his grandchildren. He loved the time spent with his grandchildren, being the “soccer grandfather” and coach. Other fond memories were teaching them how to fish.
Survivors include wife, Nancy; children, Tracy (Stephen) Krahmer and Carl Nuccio; grandchildren, Emma and Nicholas Krahmer and Maeleah and Lillian Nuccio; sister, Catherine Miers; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by parents and brother Peter Nuccio.
Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church, 428 N 2nd St, Rockford, IL 61107. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 22 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S.
