Benjamin M. C. Pehler

Benjamin M. C. Pehler, 34, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

Also known as “Benjie” “Ben” and “Bambi” by his family and friends. Ben was born in Hanau, Hessen, Germany on March 13, 1987, son of Matthew and Heike (Bastian) Pehler. He grew up in Germany until age 5 when his family came to the U.S. in 1992. Ben graduated from Jefferson High School in Rockford, Class of 2005. Go J-Hawks! He also attended Upper Iowa University and the Caterpillar Think BIG Program. Ben married the love of his life, Corina M. Conderman on November 12, 2013. He was employed as an equipment salesman with Bob Cat of Rockford. Ben loved riding his motorcycle and was a proud member of the Wolf Pack Social Club (WPSC) of Rockford. He was a crew chief and car owner at the Rockford Speedway, car #50. Ben was a 3 sport athlete in high school and continued to stay active as a softball player and loved playing sports. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and waterskiing as part of the Loves Park Ski Broncs with his family. Most of all, Ben cherished his time spent with family. He was kind and welcoming to everyone and every creature and had the biggest heart for all living things. Ben will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Corina Pehler; son, Miken Pehler; parents, Matthew (Heike) Pehler; sisters, Natascha Pehler (Andy Cannon) and Samantha (Pehler) Ditto; nephews, Noah and Luca; father-in-law, Brad Conderman; brother-in-law, Jacob Conderman; sister-in-law, Jessica (Kyle) Enot; niece, Wynonna and all other relatives including uncles, aunts, cousins and friends in Germany and the U.S. Ben is predeceased by his beloved Oma and Opa in Germany and beloved cousin, Alexandra Bastian in Germany. They are reunited in heaven. He is also predeceased by his paternal grandparents in Winona, MN.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Beloit Memorial Hospital emergency/trauma team, nurses, doctors and all staff that cared for Ben.

Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2021 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. Cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family of Benjamin Pehler.
