Beatrice H. Badger, 72, Rockford, died from breast cancer at 2:40 a.m. Sunday, May 29, 2011 in Swedish American Hospital.nbsp; Born May 21, 1939 in Carlinville, daughter of Charles Luster and Eleanor Dahlgren Badger.nbsp; Graduated from Harlem High School and attended Northwestern University.nbsp; She was an accountant and had previously been employed by the City of Rockford and Mattison Machine Works.nbsp; She retired from the Winnebago County Housing Authority after many years.
Survivors include her cousin, Phyllis (Kenneth) Laurent as well as nbsp;numerous other cousins.nbsp; Predeceased by her parents; grandparents, Carl and Hilma Dahlgren; brother, Charles Lewis Badger and uncles Stanley and Robert Dahlgren.nbsp; Beatrices family would like to thank Dr. Sharon Shipp and the staff on the oncology unit at Swedish American Hospital for the special, loving care that they gave to Bea.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011 in Scandinavian Cemetery with Rev. Jay Quinn officiating.nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Susan G. Komen For The Cure.
