Barbara J. Vanhille, 64, of Rockford passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 in her home. Born October 14, 1950, in Rockford, the daughter of Manford and Olive Olson. She graduated from East High School. Barbara married Daniel J. Vanhille on May 26, 1978. She attended First Free Evangelical Church for 20 years.

Survived by her husband, Daniel; sons, Tony Vanhille and Sean (fiancé, Emily Maney); grandchildren, Jackson and Ellie Vanhille; siblings, Jeanne Billstrom, Michael Olson and Mary Lou Spearing; mother-in-law, Patricia Vanhille; brother-in-law, Jerome B. Vanhille and sister-in-law, Michaelle M. Holder. Predeceased by her parents, Manford and Olive.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2015 at First Free Evangelical Church, 2223 North Mulford Road, with Pastor Bertie Holmgren officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 South Mulford Road and will continue at church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northern Illinois Hospice or Swedish American Cancer Center.
