Barbara E. Peterson

Barbara E. Peterson, 100, of Rockford passed away peacefully on March 8, 2018. She was born July 19, 1917 in Rockford, daughter of Edwin and Amy (Pritz) Sherman.
Barbara was a graduate of Rockford Central High School.
She would go on to marry Harry K. Peterson her loving husband of 60 years.
Barbara retired from Rockford Life Insurance after 30 years of faithful service.
Her hobbies included swimming, golfing, playing bridge with her friends from the bridge club, and going out to eat with the “Old Ladies Out to Dinner Club”.
She was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church and she will be truly missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Clark, grandchildren, Amy (Adam) Taylor, Sarah (Jeremy) Beale, and Adam (Misty) Clark; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Molly, Mackenzie, Joshua, and James.
Predeceased by her husband, daughter, Catherine Cullen, grandson, William Clark, parents, and son-in-law, Steven Clark.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home 1860 S. Mulford Rd, Rockford with visitation 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment in Scandinavian Cemetery. Online condolences may be submitted at fitzgeraldfh.com.
