Barbara B. (Landgraf) Magnuson, 94
Rockford- Barbara B. (Landgraf) Magnuson, 94, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Bickford House surrounded by her loving family. Born November 30, 1921 in Bad Neustadt an der Saale, Germany, the daughter of Nikolaus & Maria (Brell) Landgraf. She worked as a secretary in Germany, then moved to Rockford in 1959, where she started working at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. She retired in 1984 as outpatient supervisor in the business office. She married Lee Magnuson on May 27, 1967. They enjoyed boating and traveling to their second home in Florida. He predeceased her on December 23, 2008. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Barbara was classy and extremely fashionable. She had a passion for cooking with her specialties of German schnitzel and the best meatloaf ever. She was known for being a very generous and giving person with a quick wit and great sense of humor. She will be truly missed. Survivors include brother Walter Landgraf, and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews both in Germany and the United States. She is preceded in death by husband, parents, sisters Fritzie, Maria, and Lotte.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
