Barbara B. Ehrenstrom

Barbara Byrnes Ehrenstrom, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 18, 2017 at her home in Chicago after a long illness. Born in Rockford July 24, 1922, the daughter of Francis and Marie Doran Byrnes. Lived 85 years in Rockford. Attended Muldoon High School and Rockford College. Longtime member of St. Peter and Holy Family Parishes. Employed by Illinois National Bank and Trust Co. and Camcar Products. Wed C. Gordon Ehrenstrom in 1956; happily married 35 years until his death in 1991. Predeceased by her dear sister and brother, Mary Byrnes Schendel and Thomas Doran Byrnes. Survived by her devoted children, Peter, St. Louis, Michael and Ann, Chicago, and Martha (Paul Jensen), Minneapolis and beloved nieces and nephews.

Services will be private with arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108. Burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
