Barbara Ann Boschi

Barbara Ann Boschi, 80, of Rockford, died at 9:50 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born January 31, 1928 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin the daughter of Dr. George A. and Edna R. Steele. Barbara had lived in Rockford since 1986, coming here from Aurora, Illinois. She married Charles C. Boschi in Oshkosh, WI on December 27, 1950. Barbara was a member of St. Peters Cathedral. She loved to play bridge. She was a member of St. Anthonys Auxiliary Hospital Bridge Club, St. Peters Marathon Group, the Third Source Income Group at St. Peters Cathedral and volunteered at Mercy Center in Aurora. Barbara is survived by her daughters: MaryAnn (Dennis) Niebuhr of Sun Prairie, WI and Susan Lisa (Greg) Barisa of Rockford; grandchildren Jon Niebuhr (fianca(c) Alicia Albertson), Thomas Niebuhr, Jeffrey Niebuhr, Stephanie Barisa, and Katherine Barisa; great grandchildren, Alyssa Niebuhr, Mya Simms, Aviah Niebuhr, and Carson Bongard; and her nephew, Dr. James D. (Yolanda) Moon of the State of Oregon. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday April 9, 2008, at St. Peters Cathedral with Fr. Kevin Butler officiating. There will be a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Machesney Park.
