Aura Leon De Ramirez

Aura Leon de Ramirez, 84, Rockford, died at 10:10PM, Monday, February 5, 2007 in her home. Born January 3, 1923 in Armenia, Colombia, daughter of Angel M. Leon and Rosalia Loaiza de Leon. Rockford resident for the past 17 years. She was married to Francisco A. Ramirez who died in 1982. Aura was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was completely devoted to her family. Survived by 12 children, 23 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 5 brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held at 11AM on Friday, February 9, 2007 in St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Arquimedes Vallejo officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6-8PM on Thursday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
