Arthur Leo Lies

Arthur Leo Lies, 83 or Rockford passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2008 in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born in Cloverdale, IL the son of Leo and Julia (Treml) Lies. Arthur married Dolores Chmielewski, she predeceased him in 1999. Arthur served with the United States Navy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Arthur is survived by his children Mary (Ken) Roth, David (Debra) Lies, Nancy Glenn and Richard Lies. Grandchildren Sarah, Amy, Meridith, Stacy, Sarah and Erik. Great- Grandchildren Hannah, Lucas, Tegan, Terin, Addison, Barrett, Kaeden and Tessah. Siblings Muriel McConnell, Bob (Elaine) Lies, Leon (Lynn) Lies, John (Clara) Lies, brother- in- Law Joe Jingle and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Arthur is predeceased by his parents, wife, sister Geraldine Jingle and sister and brother- in- Law Patricia and Jim Hebert. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 19, 2008 in St. Monica Catholic Church in Carpentersville. Interment will be private. The family was assisted by Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford. To
