Arlene R. Williams, 75, Rockford, died at 4:10 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 in Neighbors Rehabilitation Center in Byron.nbsp; Born May 16, 1935 in Rockford, daughter of Edward and Laura Stein Doyle.nbsp; Graduated from East High School.nbsp; Married Jack W. Williams in Rockford on August 16, 1953.nbsp; Retired in 1993 as the Executive Secretary for the Finance Department of the City of Rockford. Member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.nbsp; Arlene was a talented woman of many interests.nbsp; She played the piano, loved shopping, the gambling boat and her computer.nbsp; She was a former league bowler, enjoyed playing cards with her friends and loved the fishing trips to Minnesota as well as swimming and flower gardening.nbsp; She had a special passion for Bingo, but her family, especially her grandchildren, were always the most important things in her life.
Survivors include her son, John (Amy) Williams; daughter, Kim (Todd) Baldwin; grandchildren, Haley, Madalyn, Cameryn, Gavin and Grace; brother, Larry (Barbara) Doyle and many nieces and nephews.nbsp; Predeceased by her husband, Jack on June 16, 1994 and her brother, LaVerne Doyle.nbsp;
Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Rev. William Dahlberg of Salem Lutheran Church officiating.nbsp; Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
