Arlene E Schick

Arlene E. Schick, 84, of Machesney Park, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She was born January 25, 1931 in Menominee, MI to Harry and Christine (Vandenberg) Haasch and married her loving husband, Leonard “Lenny” Schick, on September 25, 1954.

Arlene was a devoted wife, busy homemaker, and doting mother and grandmother who enjoyed vacationing on Mackinac Island with her husband and family. She was also a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church and The Homemakers Extension of Winnebago County. Arlene was a strong, kind, and caring person who enjoyed life and everyone in it. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Survivors include her children Stephen (Gail) of Appleton, WI, Kristin Lewis of Loves Park, David (Kathy) of Janesville, WI, Therese (Mark) Evrard of Door County, WI, Kathleen (Joseph) Metz of Loves Park and Jennifer (Jason) Grable of Loves Park; grandchildren Chad, Angela, Eric, Jason, Trisha, Patrick, Ashley, Nicole and Ryan; great grandchildren Taylor, Vash, Aislinn, Collin, Hadley, Abigail, Harper, Olivia, Hailey, Moses, Marina, Alexia, Emma and Brianna; brother Harry "Hap" Haasch of Holt, MI; sisters Joyce Krause and Phyllis Waloway of Marinette, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lenny, grandchild Charity, great grandchild Isabelle and 5 siblings.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Keith Meyers of University of Wisconsin - Madison for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness he shared with Arlene.

Memorial visitation will held Friday, April 10, from 5-7 pm at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory Mulford Chapel, 1860 S Mulford Rd. Additional services will be held in Menominee, Michigan.
