Anthony S. Heaney

Anthony S. Heaney, 64, passed away in Machesney Park, Illinois on April 13, 2024. Born on March 26, 1960, in Roswell, New Mexico son to Arthur and Frances (Phelps) Heaney. Tony went on to work for Woodward for 17 years. In his free time, he enjoyed time in his yard (probably with classic rock playing just a little too loud), or attempting to catch his next big fish, but he particularly enjoyed getting people to smile and laugh with his wacky, mildly inappropriate humor. When he was home there was quality time with Sydney, his K9 companion, sharing a pizza and watching a movie so bad, it was funny. To anyone that really knew Tony, they knew just how much of a loving and caring father, grandfather, and friend he was; if he considered someone family, friends included, there was no limit to how much he wanted to help them.
 
 He will be missed by those who loved him most, his daughter Clarissa (James Lefeber) Heaney; his grandchildren Annabelle Heaney, Kaitlyn Lefeber and Brynlee Lefeber; the mother to his beloved children Danita Heaney; his cousin Diane Kelly; mother-in-law Norma Jean Garner, and faithful sidekick, Sydney. He is predeceased by his son Alexander  Heaney; parents Arthur and Frances; grandmother Shirley Phelps Elliot; father-in-law George Garner, and cherished rescue dog Sadie.
