Anne R. Robek

Anne R. Robek, 84, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in Rockford, Illinois. Born on November 14, 1939, to parents Victor and Helen (Belle) in Chicago, Illinois. Anne spent most of her career in the electronics industry before her retirement in 2016. In 1998, she started dating the love of her life, Patrick Barrett. The two would eventually move to the Rockford area in 2015, from Palatine, Illinois. They enjoyed many adventures together, traveling to the East coast and Southern states, Florida being Patricks’ favorite. In her free time, she was an avid artist that worked with many mediums, watercolor and acrylic painting. Anne also took great pride in her gardening, flower beds being her specialty. In 2022, Pat and Anne arrived at Harbor Royale in Rockford and were warmly greeted. They quickly became friends with many residents. Especially dear to Anne were the “Lillies of the Lake” women’s group in which she enjoyed working with.

Anne is survived by those who love her most; her life partner, Patrick Barrett; children Christine (Chris Adams) Taylor, Laura (Mark) Duffy, Susan Nugent, Shayna (Rick Bernardi) Mortensen, and Stephen (Karen) Barrett; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister Barb Allenson; and nephews Dan and Mike. Anne is predeceased by her parents and son, Michael Nugent.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL, 61108.
