Anna Parrinello

Anna Parrinello, 88, Rockford, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Marsala, Sicily, the daughter of Antonino and Giovanna (Laudicina) Mannira. She married Salvatore Parrinello in Marsala on October 24, 1947. Anna was a seamstress for 35 years at Marshall Field and Company and later at Macy’s. She was a long standing member of St. Rita Catholic Church.
Survived by her children, Maria (Joe) Stella of Caledonia, Joanne (Emanuele) Giacalone of Belvidere, Josephine (Kenneth) Haviland of Harrisburg, PA and Anthony (Amy) Parrinello of Loves Park; her grandchildren, Frank, Sam, Sonia, Mark, Sam, Karl, Karen, Sal, and Angelo; 9 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Salvatore passing away in 1975; her sisters, Josephine Indelicato and Maria Angileri; her brother, Sam Mannira.
Funeral Mass with be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 22, 2017, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Dr. Rockford, with Reverend John Evans officiating. Visitation will be at 9:30 A.M. until time of service. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford.
