Anna A. Cascio

Anna A. Cascio, 84, Rockford, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013. She was born in Rockford on February 4, 1929; the daughter of James and Mary (Sciortino) Gagliano. Anna married Frank Cascio in Rockford on June 10, 1950. Anna was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she was selfless and always put family first. She was an exceptional caregiver and had a kind soul that could be seen by all. Anna loved to cook and looked forward to family dinners on Sundays. She will be missed by all who loved her and by those who knew her. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Anna is lovingly survived by her husband,Frank; her children, Carol (Charles) Terrana and Michael (Diane) Cascio; grandchildren, Andrea (Chad) Eschen and Matthew (Michelle) Cascio; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; her siblings, Tony Gagliano, Margaret Fiorentino, Angela Calacurcio, Esther Young, Julie Williams, Josephine Barber, Sandy Cipolla and Inez Moskal.
Funeral service at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
