Ann Swanson

Ann M. Swanson, 92, Rockford, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017, at Swedish American Hospital Belvidere. She was born September 13, 1923, in Rockford, the daughter of Pete and Catherine Montana. Ann married Leonard Swanson in Rockford in 1941. Leonard preceded her in death in 2015. She was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed watching baseball and loved the Rockford Peaches.
Survived by her daughters, Catherine Pillow and Patricia Reschlein both of Rockford and her son, Michael (Rose) Swanson of Roscoe; her grandchildren, Edward and Allen Pillow, Jennifer Reschlein, and Tony, Daniel, and Anna Swanson; many great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brother, James (Ruth) Montana; sister, Rose Sandoval; sisters-in-law, Barbara and Sandy Montana. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Leonard; brothers, Tom, Sam, John, Tony, Charlie and Pete; sisters, Mary Evans and Carmella Garcia.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday January 26, at St. Edward Catholic Church, 3004 11th St. Rockford, 61109. Entombment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation from 9:00A.M until time of Mass at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorials to be established by the family.
