Rockford – Ann Marie Brace, 85, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in her home surrounded by her family. Born September 16, 1930 in Ft. Riley, Kansas, the daughter of Arthur H. & Mary A. (Sayles) Truxes. Graduated from Georgia Tech. Married Paul H. Brace in St. Luke’s, Atlanta, Ga, on June 12, 1953. He predeceased her on January 15, 2003. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
Survivors include children Deborah (Stuart) Fleming of Rockton, IL, Mark (Janis) Brace of Phoenix, AZ, Caroline (Herman) Beal of Syracuse, NY, and Sharon Brace of Naperville, IL; grandchildren Brent (Isabel), Nathan (Bethany) & Michael Fleming, and Niko Yokosawa; great-grandchildren Cambria & Layla. She is preceded in death by parents, husband Paul; brothers Arthur and Lee Truxes; grandson Alexander Yokosawa.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108. The family will have a private service.
