Ann Kinnon Hornbach passed away suddenly on March 15,2020, in Alpine Fireside
Rockford, IL.
Ann was born on September 9, 1933, in Bruce Crossing, Upper Peninsula, Michigan.
She married Charles Hornbach on August 29, 1953. She graduated from Aquinas College with a teaching degree. Ann started a Montessori pre-school in Grand Rapids. Her career included teaching and homemaking. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, weaving and gardening. Ann and Charles travelled extensively and had residencies in Grand Rapids, MI, Naples, FL, St. Augustine, FL, and Rockford, MI.
Ann is survived by her sister, Margareta Jackson; children- KC (Anne) Hornbach, Mark(Connie) Hornbach, Jean Magnelli. Grandchildren include; Leigh Walls, Charles(Nick) Hornbach and Ellie Hornbach. Her great granddaughter is Madelyn Walls.
Predeceased by husband, Charles; her parents, Albert and Johanna Kinnon; sister, Dorothy Whitmore, and brother, Albert Kinnon.
Sincerest appreciation to the wonderful staff at Alpine Fireside for the care and love that she received there.
A future celebration of life is intended to be held in Grand Rapids, MI.
In her life, Ann struggled with depression and in accordance with her wishes to help others with their struggles, in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her memory to the Rosecrance Foundation, designated to the Ware Center. Address: 1021 N. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61107.
