Ann F. Linn, 94, Rockford, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She was born March 23, 1921, in Rockford, the daughter of Paul and Rosalie (Gatti) Castiglione. Ann married Calvin James Linn at St. Patrick Catholic Church on May 16, 1944. He passed away on May 20, 2005. She was employed as a receptionist at Greenlee Brothers Manufacturing for 18 years. She was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. Ann spent many years volunteering as a Pink Lady at Rockford Memorial Hospital and also volunteered at Janet Wattles. Ann and Cal enjoyed traveling throughout the years.
Survived by her nieces, Carol Anderson, Louise (George) Milne, and Sandi (Rick) Lane, all of Rockford; her nephews, Charles Baliconi of Portland, OR, and Robert (Sandra) Jakeway of Rockford; her dear friends, Mary Ann and Zig Bronowski, and Pat and Ken Rogner. Predeceased by her husband, Cal; her sisters, Mary Jakeway, Virginia Smith and Carolyn Lani; her brother Charles Castiglione; her nephew, Vern Lani.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Av. Loves Park. Entombment at Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation from 9:30 A.M. until 10:15 A.M. on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, 611108. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 510 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-1942 or to St. Bridget’s Grade School.
