Ann C. Makosh, 82, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Rockford passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017. Born August 22, 1934, in Rockford, the daughter of William J. and Bessie (Hill) Foley. Ann was a graduate of Muldoon High School and attended Clarke College. She married Edward Makosh on August 7, 1954 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rockford. Ann worked for the Rockford Jaycees, Pierce Packaging and was an administrative assistant at Keith School, retiring in 1996. Ann and Edward were members of St. Bridget Catholic Church for many years. She was a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed baking. Everyone loved her chocolate chip cookies and cakes. Ann was adventurous; water skiing and parasailing as well as riding roller coasters. She loved the water and sun.
Lovingly survived by her husband, Edward; children, Cynthia (Robert) Clark and Jeffrey (Christine) Makosh; grandchildren, Andrew (Kelly) Clark, Melissa (Jeremy) Toltzman, Jason (Michelle) Schlieben and Lee Young Makosh; great-greatchildren, Breana, Blayne and Elaina Clark, Addyson and Spencer Toltzman and Parker and Mia Schlieben; sister in law, Jennie Ciembronowicz.
Memorial mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at St. Bridget Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Inurnment in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, assisted the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of your choice, Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, FL or to the National Alzheimer Association.
