Anita Marie Swanson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anita Swanson, who passed away on Friday, February 28th, 2025, at the age of 63, following a courageous second battle with cancer. Anita faced this journey with strength, grace, and unwavering determination, inspiring all who knew her. A beloved mother, wife, and friend, her kindness and resilience touched countless lives.

Anita was a cherished wife of Roger, with whom she shared a deep and enduring love for the last 45 years. Their partnership was a testament to the power of love, patience, and understanding. A loving mother to Robert and Kassandra, she was a constant source of entertainment and she took great joy in watching them grow and flourish. 

Anita had a vibrant personality and a passion for life and travel. She was an ardent fan of Elvis Presley, and his music filled their home with warmth and joy. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. 

Predeceased by her parents Rito and Ramona Gonzalez, as well as her brother Lawrence. She is survived by her loving husband, Roger; her devoted son, Robert; and her caring daughter, Kassandra (Jamie). Anita was also deeply loved by her brothers: Michael (Mary Rose), Samuel (Sharon), Anthony (Kristen), Richard, and Phillip. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

A tribute to celebrate her life will be arranged at the SM&SF club at a future date. The family welcomes everyone to join in remembering the joy she brought into their lives. While she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
