Angelo Joseph Nicolosi, 65, Davis, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016, as a result of a tragic auto accident. He was born April 1, 1951, in Rockford, the son of Joseph and Rose (Riportella) Nicolosi. Angelo married Cindy Laur at Holy Hill in Hubertus, WI on August 12, 1972. He was the owner of Travel Agents International in Rockford. Angelo was an active member of St. Mary/St. Patrick Catholic Church in Durand and led the Charismatic Prayer Group at St. Edward Catholic Church in Rockford. He was a long time member of the Lombardi Club.
Survived by his loving wife, Cindy, his daughter, Rebekah Nicolosi and his granddaughter, Graysea Mae Nicolosi, both of Rockford; his mother, Rose Nicolosi; his brothers and sisters, Grace (Jerry) Hall, Rose Ann Cassioppi, Mary Nicolosi, Leonard Nicolosi, Father Joseph Nicolosi, all of Rockford and Lisa (Edward) Modzelewski of Charlotte, NC; his 4 foster children, Victoria and Clifford Colmone, and Henry and Rachel Anizewski; his mother-in-law, Patricia Monfre of Pewaukee, WI. His father-in-law, Thomas (Marti) Laur of Milwaukee, WI; his brothers-in-law, Tom (Pam) Laur, Tim (Ellie) Laur and Dr. John (Victoria) Laur; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, Joseph, his twin brother, Leonard Salvatore Nicolosi, his father-in-law, Charles B. Monfre; his brother-in-law, Lawrence P. Cassioppi; and his sister-in-law, Peggy Laur.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 A.M., Monday, August 1, 2016, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 606 W. Main St. Durand. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday.
