Angelica M. McKinney, 48

Angelica M. Villarreal-McKinney, 48, of Rockford died Sunday, June 26, 2016. Born April 16, 1968 in Moline, the daughter of Alfredo and Martina (Ramirez) Villarreal. Graduated from United Township High School in East Moline and received her Master’s Degree from Northern Illinois University in Counseling. She loved to spend time with her friends and family and enjoyed the thrill of finding a good deal while shopping. She also had a talent for interior decorating and would change things in her home often. Angie loved people and loved spending time with family and friends. She was a kind and caring person who will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her son, Michael McKinney; mother, Martina (John) Wassenhove, brothers, Al (Trudy) Villarreal and Ed Villarreal and her special K9 companion, Gracie. She was preceded in death by her father Alfredo.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family. A private service with inurnment will be held by the family at a later date.
