Andrea M. Sharp

Andrea M. Sharp, 58, of Rockford died on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born April 16, 1958 the daughter of Myron and Winifred (Hendricks) Beightley in Rockford. Attended East High School and later married her loving husband, Kerry C. Sharp. She was an antique enthusiast who enjoyed the thrill of finding a great treasure and would also dabble in selling some of her finds. She was an avid collector of green pottery but her most valuable collection was her grandchildren. Andrea was sure to spend as much time with them that she could.
Survivors include her husband, Kerry; daughters, Katherine (Sean) Booth and Alexandra (Chris) Sledge; grandchildren, Charles, Evangeline, Luke and Samuel; step daughters, Melanie (Robert) Jones and Jennifer (Ted) Blaser; brothers, Jim, Peter (Diane) and Jeff Beightley; sister, Michele Beightley; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Leslie Birkholtz, Jane Kepner and Lydia Escobar. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to OSF St. Anthony Dr.’s, nurses and staff on CCU Floor and the 4th Floor.
A visitation will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. from 3-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. Express online condolences at: www.fitzgeraldfh.com
