Amber Alberts

Amber Alberts, 43, of Center Hill, FL, formerly of Rockford, IL, passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 24, 2020 due to complications from a long-term illness. Amber was born August 11, 1977 in Sterling, IL to Buddy Williams and Laura (Rudy) Ortiz. She attended Rockford East High School graduating in 1995. She married the love of her life Patrick Alberts on March 20, 2009, and they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Ayva and Nina.
Amber was a talented hair stylist and makeup artist who loved her work. She had a kind heart, a beautiful smile, and a strong faith. She was always ready with a word of encouragement and shared her faith with family and friends, guiding many to deeper spiritual relationships. She proudly served on the board of R.A.A.S.E helping victims of human trafficking. Most of all, Amber loved spending time with her family and adored her two daughters. She will be forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband and daughters; parents, Rudy and Laura Ortiz; sister, Shanti (Rich Piltz) Rios; step-siblings, Bobbie (Rudy) Sanchez, Julia (Mark) Lindberg, and Ron (Karina) Ortiz; mother-in-law, Susan Hakes; father-in-law, Michael (Karen) Alberts; brothers-in-law, Michael Alberts, Josh Hakes, Ryan Hakes; beloved honorary family members, Clyde and Victoria Cardwell; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased in death by her father and grandparents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Dr, Rockford, IL 61109 with the Reverend Ervin Caliente officiating. Masks and social distancing are required. Inurnment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to establish at a later date.
