Alyssa Masiewicz, 22 of Rockford passed away suddenly Friday, September 14, 2012 at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. She was born July 8, 1990 in Rockford, the daughter of Janusz and Jolanta Masiewicz. Alyssa was a student at Aveda Institute Chicago. Member of St. Stanislaus Church. She attended St. Rita School and graduated from Boylan High School, Class of 2009. Alyssa was an outgoing, bubbly girl, known for her brilliant smile. She loved spending time with her family, especially her brothers. She had many friends and loved keeping up with everyone on Facebook. Alyssa had a beautiful heart and was always ready to help anyone. She was proud of her Polish heritage and loved her cat named Paczek. Alyssa was a daredevil, she never backed away from heights or fast roller coasters.Survived by her parents, Janusz and Jolanta; brothers, Christopher and Andrew; boyfriend, Josh Balsman and his parents, Kelli and David Balsman; uncle, Stanislaw Wawiorko; aunt, Elizbieta Wawiorko; cousin, Eve (Richard) Steder, and many relatives in Poland. Predeceased by both grandfathers. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am Thursday, September 20, 2012 in St. Rita Catholic Church. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 48pm Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Road with family and friend eulogies at 8pm.
