Alvin V. Rich

Machesney Park- Alvin V. nbsp;Rich, 84, died Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Alpine Fireside, after a brief illness. Born May 9, 1926 in Chetek, WI, the son of Delbert and Izetta (Storne) Rich. Married his loving wife Marguerite Clemons on October 20, 1946, she preceded him in 2003. Alvin worked over 40 years at Amerock where he was a Quality Control Manager. He was a very proud and faithful member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church where he served as choir director for 20 years and also served as church treasurer for 15 years. He and Marguerite loved to square dance and he enjoyed woodworking projects, making several items for his family. Survivors include his son, Timothy (Deborah) Rich; daughter, Connie (Paul) Huss; grandchildren, Jason (Tara), Paul, David, Brian and Amy (Ben) Vosmek; 3 great grandchildren and sister, Mildred Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 grandchildren, Christopher and Sarah and 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral service Saturday, Novembernbsp; 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4055 North Rockton Ave. with Rev.nbsp; Tom Hardwick officiating. Visitation from 11:30 until time of service at the church. Interment in Willwod Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials to The American Heart Association. nbsp;Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel is assisting the family.
